Aline Solutions is a start up specialized in digital payment and e-commerce for Africa. Our mission is to develop digital products capable to give more freedom to our users. This vision is reflected in our slogan DIGITAL FOR FREEDOM.
Nearly 95% of payments (in number, not value) are made with cash in most African countries. This is responsible for
different problems but the biggest one according to us and people we’ve talked to is the difficulty to get the change after paying. For anyone who live or has been in countries using the CFA currency (XOF), it's an everyday problem. According to 90% of small businesses we've asked in Côte d'Ivoire, this is undoubtedly the main problem for business. Several solutions have been launched to replace cash but african people remain stick to cash. This is why we designed a solution that could help the 200 million population in all countries where this problem exists.
We have launched two applications totally dedicated to the “small change” Aline and Aline pro. They are respectively dedicated to consumers and local businesses. Complementary to cash, Aline and Aline Pro make transactions smoother by eliminating the friction caused by the lack of small change.
In only 3 months of activity the platform has nearly 1000 active merchants and over 5000 users and subscribers
