Albright College, located in Reading, Pennsylvania, is a private, co-ed, Liberal Arts College. This school has rolling admissions, which allows students to apply after completion of their junior year and throughout their senior year of high school. Students will typically receive a decision within a month of completing their application.
When
looking over applications, Albright College looks for six specific criteria. The first, and most important to this school, is the student’s high school academic performance and rigor of curriculum. Second is a student’s writing ability; students should be able to effectively and clearly present an argument in written form. The third thing this school looks at is extracurricular activities, especially those involving leadership. The fourth and fifth are teacher recommendations and on-campus interviews, respectively, with standardized test scores weighing in the least as they are optional.
Albright College offers three levels of internships: Introductory Internships, Intermediate Internships and Advanced Internships. Introductory Internships allow students to experience specialized interests in a setting different from traditional courses. Introductory Internships do not need to be directly related to your major.
In order to qualify for an Intermediate Internship, students must have completed an introductory concentration. Intermediate Internships allow students to gain experience and improve competency in their area of concentration. Advanced Internships require a great deal of involvement and responsibility. Students must first complete extensive course work in their area of concentration before qualifying for an Advanced Internship.
