Company Performance Metrics
Air Index Today is a free air quality service that shows the current AQI for any city, along with today's and tomorrow's hourly forecasts, peak AQI times, and a 5-day daily trend. A full pollutant breakdown covers PM2.5, PM10, NO₂, O₃, SO₂, and CO — with a sub-AQI reading per pollutant so you can see exactly what is driving the overall
index.
Health guidance is displayed alongside every reading, following the US EPA six-level AQI scale from Good to Hazardous. Location is resolved automatically via IP geolocation, so the app opens straight to your city with no browser prompts or permission requests. A nearby cities map shows AQI levels across the surrounding area.
Air quality data is sourced from the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS) via Open-Meteo. The AQI scale and thresholds follow the US EPA / AirNow classification.
Air Index Today is free, requires no account, and performs no user tracking. It is available in 11 languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Dutch, Italian, Portuguese, Polish, Swedish, Norwegian, and Danish. It is part of the SimpleMeteo family of environmental data tools.
