Aipoly is an object-and-color recognizer app helping blind, visually impaired, and color blind understand their surrounding.
The app uses a vision AI to create checkout-less convenience stores, smart distribution centers, and filling stations. Its computer vision combines the understanding of human activity in real-time with the movement and
interaction of objects. Users can use it by pointing the phone at the object of interest and press any of the recognition buttons at the bottom of the screen to turn on the artificial intelligence, which will speak out loud what it sees.
Alberto Rizzoli, Simon Edwardsson, and Marita Cheng launched the app in San Francisco, California in 2015.
