platforms like Glassdoor or Indeed rely on CPC (cost-per-click) advertising models, charging employers every time a candidate clicks on a job post. To increase revenue, some have even shifted to lifetime value (LTV) bidding strategies powered by machine learning, where they prioritize promoting companies that deliver the highest financial return. This means negative reviews or press can get buried—or deleted entirely—if the employer is a high-paying advertiser.
