development of "Mission Critical Applications", ASCI introduced INTACT® for high-performance transaction processing, which was subsequently licensed to HP (then Digital Equipment Corporation). INTACT® was renamed DECIntact, ultimately becoming the heart of their transaction processing strategy in the commercial sector.
