Unlike other crowdfunding sites, Backers fund a Project by shopping for gear. ~5-15% of the amount the Backer spends on gear, supports the Project, at no additional cost to the Backer (i.e. if you
buy a $100 dollar pair of running shoes - the Project you backed will get $5-$15 dollars, paid for by the retailer (REI for example)). The site has ~million prices on gear, from over 75 of the largest outdoor retailers, making it very easy to find the cheapest price on what you’re looking for.
