Action for Community Development is a non-profit charitable organisation that delivers capacity building training, workshops and support services for individuals and community groups. The charity offers free or funded courses in health and safety, communication, business, management and accounting, alongside accredited bookkeeping and accounting
programmes. It runs a Community Health Project focused on health promotion, advocacy and culturally sensitive information for Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities. AfCD also manages a Community Volunteering Project that provides work placements, youth volunteering and skills development. Additional activities include advice, casework, community events and support for refugees, migrants and people on low incomes.
