ACCRU is a network that supports research and graduate training at small and medium-sized comprehensive universities in Canada. The organization shares information, resources, and strategies to strengthen research programs and student research training across its member institutions. It advocates collectively for research and researchers, focusing
on equitable research funding and recognition of work conducted at smaller and mid-sized universities. ACCRU organizes projects, initiatives, meetings, and annual general assemblies that connect academic leaders, researchers, and students to discuss priorities and collaboration opportunities. It promotes equity, diversity, and inclusion in the research ecosystem and encourages community-responsive research and knowledge sharing. The network also supports innovative knowledge mobilization, open data access, and publishing among its members.
