About the Company
Ability KC is built on a solid founding legacy that continues to inspire its work each day with children, adults, and families living with disabilities. A therapeutic preschool for children with special needs was founded in 1947 by Mary Shaw Branton, Jeanette Luhnow, and Jane Dick. Vivian Shepherd also worked to provide outpatient medical
rehabilitation and employment services to veterans returning from World War II.
