Company Performance Metrics
A.P. Plasman’s early history started in 1978 with Build-A-Mold Ltd. (BAM), a two-man mold shop in 2,000 square feet of rented plant space. By 1990, BAM was utilizing 35,000 square feet and had acquired four injection-molding machines for tool tryouts.
In 1992, they started to diversify within the plastics industry. They purchased a paint
facility in Chatham (’92) and constructed a molding and assembly facility (Windsor Plant 1) in 1996. By 1997, they had custom built their Tecumseh paint facility doubling their paint capacity and they consolidated their Windsor and Chatham paint operations into the Tilbury Plant the following year. In 2002, they constructed Windsor Plant 2, a dedicated assembly operation, and they are currently constructing a new production facility in Fort Payne, Alabama which will house all of their processes under one root.
