1Day1Song is a music recommendation app that introduces one new song to users every day.
The company’s mission is to break from the current music industry in Korea dominated by large distribution and entertainment companies, and to help users enjoy a bigger variety of music by discovering hidden jewels in the music industry.
The service
allows users to identify and understand the music better by introducing personal stories behind songs and artists. Its recommendation system is completely based on musicality, season, social issue and weather. It does not incorporate the artist’s personal connections. Once a month, there is a special service called ‘Blind Test’ which lets users solely concentrate on the music by hiding the name of the artist and the song. The company plans to expand to other Asian markets and later to global markets.
