In 2016, the Berlin Web Week will take place from 7th to 17th June for the 9th time. It includes international conventions, trade shows, pitches, hackathons, matchmaking dinners, parties and meet-ups. The Berlin Web Week is a gathering place for key decision-makers, users and personalities from the world of internet: entrepreneurs, founders,
technology enthusiasts, bloggers, web activists, hackers, developers, inventors, designers, media representatives, marketing agencies, start-ups, medium sized enterprises and global players as well as investors, incubators and sponsors.
The Berlin Web Week has grown to become the largest festival of the digital scene in Europe and has set a new record in 2015 with 30 events and more than 20,000 visitors from around the globe. The goal of the individual events is to make Europe’s digital scene more visible, to shape and to advance it. The digital capital Berlin sends out groundbreaking technological and creative impulses every year. As a joint platform, the Berlin Web Week also brings the internet scene of the capital under one umbrella in order to position Berlin as an important location for new web trends and digital technologies both nationally and internationally.
The Berlin Web Week is a joint initiative by the Senate Department for Economics, Technology and Research of the state of Berlin and Berlin Partner for Business and Technology.
