The event, a first of its kind, is being organized by Baltimore Homecoming, Inc, a nonprofit organization. We’re coming together to meet the city’s next generation of innovators, artists, activists and community leaders; to reawaken and deepen our personal ties to the city; and to spark new partnerships, investments and collaborations.

Throughout our history, Baltimore has been home to great men and women – from Thurgood Marshall to Johns Hopkins, Harriet Tubman and Babe Ruth — who have shaped the face of our city, our state and our country. Our city is heir to their tradition of creativity, energy and optimism.
Today, researchers at our hospitals are testing the limits of the possible in the life sciences, teams of astronomers at our laboratories are exploring the furthest reaches of the galaxy, our painters and writers are leading the national conversation on race and politics, and our social entrepreneurs are creating new models to tackle entrenched poverty and right historic wrongs. And in this city there are many more great artists waiting to be discovered, companies waiting to be launched, and organizations waiting to be scaled.

Through an annual Homecoming conference, we’ll engage our city’s expats with the innovators, entrepreneurs, developers, activists, artists and community leaders that are reshaping Baltimore, creating opportunities for new investment, collaboration and partnership. We’ll showcase the remarkable people and organizations across the city, and in the process reshape the national narrative around Baltimore, exposing the grit, energy and hustle of this remarkable place.
