Patrick "Marty" Lancton is a dedicated public servant in Houston, Texas, where he has been serving as the President of the Houston Professional Fire Fighters Association since 2016 and the Chairman of the Board for the Executive Board of the Houston Professional Fire Fighters Association Charitable Foundation since 2015.
Throughout his
career, Marty Lancton has been certified as an Emergency Medical Technician (Basic, Intermediate, and Paramedic), as well as a Texas Department of State Health Services Licensed Paramedic since 2004 and a Department of Justice COBRA Training WMD Haz-Mat Technician. He also holds certifications from the Texas Commission as a Fire Protection Structural Firefighter, Fire Protection Hazardous Materials Technician, Fire Protection Instructor, and Driver/Operator.
Marty Lancton's resume is quite extensive. Since 2017, Marty's served as the Vice President for the Executive Board of Directors for the Texas State Association of Fire Fighters, and has been a part of the Executive Board of Directors for Texas AFL-CIO since 2018. Not only that, but Marty has been with the British American Project as a Senior Fellow since 2019, and has been a Senior Fellow for the United States Executive Committee as well as the American Leadership Forum since 2020.
Something that Marty is incredibly passionate about-- besides being a volunteer firefighter-- is giving back to the communities that he lives in. Marty founded a charitable foundation called The Red Hot Gala in Houston. This foundation grew exponentially in four years, and how? Over just four years, the Red Hot Gala grew to raise almost 2 million dollars. That is the kind of philanthropic work and dedication that Marty Lancton works towards passionately.
Through the Houston Professional Firefighters Association's Charitable Foundation, they work together to provide assistance to the people who help us in our times of need. This not only includes giving financial assistance to firefighters that are currently suffering with medical bills, residential damage, and loss, but they also help hand out winter jackets to children in the community that need them.
When he’s not working, Marty Lancton enjoys watching sports. As a native of Houston, Texas, he enjoys cheering for Houston's teams. He usually enjoys watching the NBA's Houston Rockets in the winter and the MLB's Houston Astros in the spring.
Throughout more than two decades of his career, Marty Lancton has established himself as an experienced business owner, partner, president, board member, and vice president.
