From his early years in Perrine, Florida, Aaron Anthony Wohl showcased an exceptional zest for life and an eagerness to connect with those around him. His journey is a remarkable tapestry of dedication, resilience, and a relentless pursuit of knowledge. During high school, he found a unique way to fuel his passion for aviation, working tirelessly

at a pet store in Kendall to fund his flying lessons. His perseverance paid off, earning him a private pilot's license at the tender age of 17. His commitment to medicine began to take shape in college, where he worked alongside his father, an emergency nurse, as an emergency room technician at a local hospital. His academic journey was marked by excellence, culminating in a Magna cum Laude graduation with a B.S. in Biology from Florida International University in 1998.

His relentless drive propelled him through the University of Florida College of Medicine, where he graduated in the top 10% of his class in 2001. His stellar performance continued at Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC), where he served as Chief Resident and was honored with the "Resident of the Year" award in 2004. Briefly delving into academia, he served as an assistant clinical professor in emergency medicine at Shands UF in Gainesville before transitioning to community emergency medicine in Fort Myers.

He has been a steadfast figure in community emergency medicine in Fort Myers since 2005, significantly contributing to the fight against the opioid crisis. His collaborative efforts in 2008 to establish guidelines for prescription opioid use have been pivotal, as have his enduring advocacy efforts for greater access to Naloxone, a life-saving opioid overdose antidote. His initiatives have led to the establishment of a naloxone distribution program in 2015 and the creation of a Buprenorphine induction protocol from the emergency department in 2018.
