The speaker is co-founder and CTO of AbsInt GmbH. He studied Computer Science and Business Economics and received his Ph.D. on code optimization for embedded processors in the year 2000. He has been a lecturer at the University of Saarbrücken, Germany and has been program committee member of numerous international conferences. He is member of the
IEC 61508 technical committee and of the MISRA C working group. His current work is focused on functional safety, validation and verification of safety-critical software as well as compiler technology and program analysis for embedded processors. In these areas he is author or co-author of more than 60 peer-reviewed publications.
