Charles Chen, one of the Core Founders, Founder and Honorary Chairman of Tencent Charity Fund, and became the Advisor Emeritus from March 2013.
As the Chief Administration Officer of Tencent since 1998, Charles oversaw administration, legal affairs, human resources and charity fund of the Company. Charles was also responsible for the Group's
management system, intellectual property rights and government relations.
Before Charles founded the Group in 1998, he worked in the Shenzhen Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau for several years.
Charles received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Applied Chemistry from Shenzhen University in 1993 and a Master of Law Degree in Economic Law from Nanjing University in 1996.
