Ata Önat is an investor-turned-operator who currently works at EMP Belstar Superfreeze. EMP Belstar is a $2B AUM alternative asset manager, and Superfreeze is its flagship infrastructure and logistics platform, focused on developing, owning, and operating cold storage facilities across Asia.
Prior to this role, Ata spent three years on the ground
in Vietnam, managing a portfolio company on behalf of Bravia Capital, a New York-based private equity and family office. He initially served as Interim CFO and later joined the Executive Committee of Bac Ky Logistics, where he was deeply involved in all aspects of Finance, Corporate Development, and M&A.
Earlier in his career, Ata was based in New York, where he worked in investments and portfolio management at Bravia Capital. During this time, he completed, advised on, and participated in M&A and venture capital transactions exceeding $6 billion in value, spanning the Transportation, Logistics, and Aviation sectors globally.
