Soundrop is a social music application that enables users to listen, vote, and interact about songs with their friends. It allows Spotify users to create listening rooms with their existing Spotify playlists. They can also share these listening rooms with their friends, and let their friends help curate the rooms by adding songs or voting up
tracks. Everyone can chat about the music as they listen.
Additionally, Soundrop has many public rooms dedicated to various music genres such Dubstep, Indie Rock, and Hip hop. Users can chat, add new tracks and vote up tracks they want to listen to next.
Soundrop was founded by Inge Andrè Sandvik, Johann Prieur, Ali Sabil, and Ole Andrè Vadla Ravnås in 2011. It launched as a social jukebox app inside Spotify’s App Finder in November 2011.
