Second Life is a 3D virtual world where members are able to create, buy, sell, and experience virtual content.
Second Life’s users are able to create virtual representations of themselves, called avatars, and interact with other avatars, places, or objects. It allows them to explore the world; meet other users; socialize; participate in individual and group activities; and build, create, shop, and trade virtual property and services with one another.
Second Life was launched by Linden Lab on June 23, 2003.
