William is the Executive Lead of the Member Experience & Community Engagement division at Vancity, a values-based financial co-operative serving the needs of its half-million member-owners and their communities. He co-leads all lines of business to ensure people, businesses and organizations have access to community capital, impact investing
and financial services.
William was elected to the Board of Modo, a car-sharing co-operative offering 500 cars, trucks, vans, hybrids and EVs to a growing membership of 17,000 in Metro Vancouver and Victoria. He is proud to be Chair of the Board of an organization that is estimated to remove 9-13 private vehicles from our roads with every new Modo car added.
An editor of the Credit Union Water Cooler website and annual conference, he’s a recovering filmmaker, longtime blogger, seasoned speaker and dialogue facilitator focused on the intersection of community investment, leadership, engagement marketing and the world of co-ops. And he’s recently become an amateur music producer too.
