Wei Lu is the CEO and Co-Founder of Rockhood, an AI-driven real estate startup redefining how people discover and buy homes. With 8 years of hands-on experience in applied machine learning and AI, Wei has built and scaled intelligent systems at some of the world’s most advanced tech companies.
At Amazon, he most recently led science efforts in LLM
post-training and generative AI agents, developing agent skillsets and evaluation frameworks to drive next-gen AI capabilities. Before that, at Meta, he designed and trained large-scale ad ranking models—leveraging transformers, FlashAttention, and multimodal tokenization—to improve relevance and performance across Facebook, Instagram, and Reels.
Earlier in his career, Wei focused on low-latency ML systems for ads, experimentation platforms, and real-time inference, always tying scientific rigor to business outcomes.
Now at Rockhood, he's channeling that technical depth into a new domain—using AI to deliver smarter search, deeper property insights, and aligned incentives for homebuyers. His goal: to make real estate more intelligent, transparent, and user-centric through scalable AI systems.
