Wei Hongkun began his career at Motorola (China) and China Unicom where he was responsible for technology development and operation management.
In 2002, he joined the Tianjin Venture Capital Co., Ltd. At that time, he was in charge of managing the earliest Chinese governmental Venture Capital Guidance fund. Today he is managing partner of the
same fund, where he leads a 20 person management team and manages a fund of 700 million RMB.
Currently, he also serves as the director of portfolio companies. Wei Hongkun has a bachelors degree in electronics telecommunications and a MBA; he is also a certified lawyer.
