Vanessa is the Chief Risk Officer for Ring Fenced Bank.
Prior to this she was the Interim CRO for NatWest Markets, RBS’s investment bank, responsible for providing oversight of NatWest Markets risk exposures across all disciplines as well as conduct advisory and compliance. Vanessa was also the Group Chief Credit Officer, focused on ensuring that
risk-taking had the right balance between meeting customer needs while underpinning the Bank’s credit safety.
Vanessa has a wealth of experience from more than 30 years of working in risk in both Europe and Asia. She has worked not only for RBS but also a number of other leading financial institutions in various senior capacities including Regional Chief Credit Officer and Regional Chief Risk Officer. These institutions included Credit Suisse, UBS and Westpac Banking Corporation.
