Troy Maas is the CTO for ASA Technologies
Mr. Maas has worked in many capacities in numerous industries over his career. As CEO of Maas Global Solutions, he has established one of the premier consulting companies specializing in extracting value from existing capabilities, and blending business and technical solutions to maximize return. Clients
include RBS Lynk, General Mills, First Data Corp., Microsoft and the U.S. Air Force.
Mr. Maas joined Card Service International in 1999 and built their original payments infrastructure. He established the online payment organization including defining and developing solutions as well leading the division responsible for the LinkPoint Payment Gateway. When the company was acquired by First Data in 2001, The LinkPoint Gateway had a valuation of over $50 million.
FDC determined this solution should be the primary Internet payment offering and branded the YourPay product suite targeting multiple markets including Healthcare. This system currently processes more than $4 billion in U.S dollar volume from a processing base of 40 million transactions per month. In addition, Mr. Maas defined the product strategy for the International EDI gateway that included processing for payroll, A/P, A/R, Level III, and cross border Direct Bank Drafts.
Previously, Mr. Maas designed and managed the integration of Northrop Grumman’s systems across the U.S. This effort consolidated a multitude of systems into one application interface. His responsibilities included procurement, finance, manufacturing as well as scheduling. The results were a single information pipeline that allowed management of people and processes in real-time. Previously this required many days to compile. The results yielded an annual cost savings of over $25 million.
In addition, Mr. Maas was a key member providing integration and implementation definition for the Procurement EDI gateway – a platform that had over 2,000 vendor and supplier accessing to manage invoices, purchase orders, Level III payments, schedules and commitments that accumulated $44 billion in commitments. Throughout his tenure at NG, Mr. Maas managed a discretionary budget of $83 million and was responsible for managing over $8 billion in expenses in support of various programs.
As a consulting strategist, Mr. Maas has developed corporate strategies for many key companies in the payment industry. These include managing the Microsoft Payment Platform vision and implementation in 2000, the core platform strategy for FDC, the FDMS/Chase Payment Card Not Present platform integration, Capital One Branded Debit Card product integration with processors, and many others.
