With over 35 years of experience in executive management, finance, M&A, corporate growth and leadership, Mr. Collins is the CEO of Imagine Early Education and Childcare, a national multi-center childcare company that provides innovative and high-quality educational opportunities for children. He is also a Managing Partner and founder of
Starboard Tack Capital, LLC, a private investment and development firm that focuses on high-growth opportunities in various industries, including childcare, software services, and oil and gas.
Mr. Collins leverages his extensive background in operations, finance, and strategy to lead and support the management teams and boards of his portfolio companies, enabling them to achieve their goals and maximize their potential. He is passionate about creating and investing in businesses that make a positive impact on the communities and sectors they serve. He is also an active participant in the midstream oil and gas infrastructure industry, co-founding and serving as the Managing Director of BPI Midstream, LLC, a company that owns and operates a platform of cash-flow-producing assets related to the byproducts of oil and gas production in the shale regions of the US.
Mr. Collins was formerly the senior operating and finance executive for the 15th largest radio company in the US and served as a board member of Opel Technologies (TSX: OPL), a large-scale solar systems provider. Mr. Collins previously had a long career in investment banking including tenure at Merrill Lynch and as a former sector head in Citigroup’s Media Investment Banking practice where he managed the firm’s relationship teams for such companies as Viacom and The Walt Disney Company. Mr. Collins holds an AB from Dartmouth College and an MBA from The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
