Tom Hospod is the CEO and Co-founder of Zonilyze. He is a seasoned attorney and affordable housing developer with over a decade of experience in zoning, entitlement strategy, and land use compliance. At The Kelsey, he has delivered $150M+ in inclusive, affordable housing across the Bay Area and Southeast US and has advised cities and states,
including San Francisco and Tennessee, on zoning modernization and permitting reform. Previously, Tom was an Associate at Capitol Seniors Housing, managing feasibility and entitlements for private equity-backed multifamily and healthcare developments, and served as regulatory counsel at Sovos Compliance, a global SaaS company, where he gained critical experience scaling compliance-focused technology. Featured in Marquis Who's Who in America for his leadership in real estate and law, Tom is also a TBI survivor living with disabilities, bringing lived experience and a commitment to equity to Zonilyze’s mission: transforming zoning from a barrier into a tool for inclusive development.
Tom holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Boston College, a Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami School of Law, and a Real Estate Investment Certificate from Harvard Extension School. He currently resides in Fort Lauderdale, FL with his husband, Eric.
