Thomas Kerbl is Senior Security Consultant, Security Architect and Team Leader at SEC Consult Unternehmensberatung GmbH, one of the leading consulting companies for information and application security in Central Europe (www.sec-consult.com).
Mr. Kerbl graduated with a diploma degree in "Computer- and Media-Security" in Hagenberg as
well as the master study program "Multimedia and Software Development" in Vienna. In his career he performed more than 200 successful security projects, as well as several dozen expert training courses in application security. His specializations include both the conception and design of secure software as well as the conduction of in-depth security audits. This broad background allows Mr. Kerbl to illuminate the issue of application security with all relevant aspects and to put the focal points where they bring the most benefit. Mr. Kerbl is known for his publications in security magazines, e.g. the BSI magazine <KES>, or his lectures on security conferences, e.g. the renowned IT Security Summit in Berlin or the Software Quality Days. As author, he released several guides on the subject of application security.
