Mr. Casey is a Mediator and attorney based in Washington, D.C. In late 2007, Mr. Casey, along with Craig C. Hess, co-founded the firm now known as MAXEX. Mr. Casey and Mr. Hess led the early stages of the venture including refinement and vetting of key components, creating partnerships with established market players, and two successful rounds of
friends-and-family financing. In 2012, Mr. Casey and Mr. Hess recruited Thomas M. Pearce, Jr. to join them as a partner and serve as CEO of MAXEX. In 2013, Mr. Casey resigned from the MAXEX to practice as an attorney and Mediator. Mr. Casey’s background includes service at federal agencies responsible for policy oversight and regulation of government sponsored enterprises in the housing finance sector that include duty as chief of staff to the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development and as Chief Counsel to the Chairman of the Federal Housing Finance Board, a predecessor of the FHFA.
