Tom is the National Leader of CBIZ’s Financial Services Advisory Practice, which comprises financial and transaction advisory, preparation for IPO, valuation, risk & cyber, forensics, and private equity services. He is a recognized expert and thought leader on middle market business strategy, operations, transformations, M&A, and private
equity. A frequent speaker on various business topics, Tom has had numerous articles published in local and national magazines on several subjects, including private equity and middle market financial and operational management best practices and practical applications of information technology.
He came to CBIZ in 2017 through its acquisition of private equity advisory focused CMF Associates (subsequently renamed CBIZ Private Equity Advisory), a firm he founded in 2002. His prior work experience also included founding and selling a technology consulting firm, Polaris consulting, founding and selling a rum business, LEBLON LLC (which subsequently sold to Bacardi), and serving as Audit Committee Chair and Lead Director for biotech firm, Novadel (NVD). He started his career with Deloitte & Touche in Philadelphia and London.
Tom has a B.S. in Accounting from Pennsylvania State University and a Masters in Liberal Arts from the University of Pennsylvania. Tom is a CPA and member of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Tom is also an avid angel investor and lives with his wife and two sons in Florida.
