G. Thomas Bland, Jr. retired as Chairman of the Board and CEO of AquaFiber Technologies Corporation in 2013 after thirteen years of leadership and now serves as Chairman Emeritus and Founder. With more than 40 years of business experience, Mr. Bland maintains expertise in the areas of management, finance, accounting and economics and remains
active in the Central Florida region.
Mr. Bland received his Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from the Florida Technological University (FTU). Later, he earned his Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida (UCF). In 2004, Mr. Bland was inducted into the UCF College of Business Administration Hall of Fame and awarded UCF’s College of Business Administration’s Professional Achievement award in 2010. He was recognized for his creative and entrepreneurial spirit in February 2013 by UCF’s College of Business Administration at their Golden Anniversary Celebration. Mr. Bland is currently a member of UCF’s College of Business Administration’s Dean’s Advisory Council and serves as a board member for Orlando World Trade Organization. He served as an adjunct professor at Valencia College and UCF from 1979 to 1999. He also established a home healthcare business, TenderCare Professional Assisted Living Services, Inc., for which he currently serves as Chairman of the Board.
