Sylvain Frey is a computer scientist (Master’s degree from Ensimag – Grenoble INP, PhD from Télécom ParisTech). He is currently a Senior Research Associate at Lancaster University. His research deals with the architecture of complex, dynamic cyber-physical systems: the Internet, smart grids, Industrial Control Systems, and critical infrastructures
in general. His approach draws from various domains – software engineering, organic computing, multi-agent systems, control theory – to design and build systems with critical safety and security requirements – in terms of robustness, resilience, self-adaptability, self-organisation.
