I didn't start my career in the beauty industry. For years, I worked in enterprise IT, focusing on system architecture, security testing, and performance testing for top-tier banking clients. My MBA in IT Operations Management gave me the strategic framework, but corporate banking gave me a rigorous engineering discipline.
I loved the
technical challenge, but my true calling happened far away from corporate boardrooms it happened on the floor of a bustling salon in Bengaluru.
I watched a close friend, a brilliant artist and entrepreneur, practically drown in the daily chaos of running her business. She was using software, but it was just a basic billing tool. It had no WhatsApp integration, couldn't track marketing spend, and failed at managing inventory and staff attendance. When we looked for better options, the platforms that actually had these features cost an absolute fortune priced for massive franchises, not independent owners.
It hit me: Why are independent salon owners forced to choose between broken, basic tools and wildly expensive enterprise software?
I decided to solve this. I spent months embedded in that salon, mapping out every operational bottleneck. I took that hands-on research, combined it with my enterprise IT and banking security background, and built SalonBoost.
Today, my mission is to put powerful, affordable technology directly into the hands of independent business owners. I lead product development and work closely with our active community of over 500 salon owners, ensuring our platform handles everything from WhatsApp automation to inventory tracking securely.
