Steve Smith practiced law in the Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota metropolitan area continuously from 1967 until 2011 with a focus on the representation of entrepreneurs and their start-up, development stage and emerging businesses.
In early 1999, Steve left private practice to serve as full-time General Counsel and Vice President, Sales &
Marketing of Advanced Respiratory, Inc., a manufacturer of a medical devices.
Steve was on the team that successfully sold Advanced Respiratory to a large NYSE company in a liquidation event in the fall of 2003. Steve has served on many Boards and is currently a member of the Board of Genii, Inc.
He graduated from Amherst College, Amherst, Massachusetts with a B.A. degree in Economics, and from the University of Minnesota Law School with a Juris Doctor degree.
