Steve Shlansky is the founding president and CEO of The XD Agency.
A 40-year veteran of the entertainment and event production industries, Steve began his career as a stage manager in the New York theater world. He soon brought his dramatic sensibilities to the corporate sector, creating communications campaigns and events rich in the emotional
impact of the stage.
In 1999, Steve founded The XD Agency (then GO! Productions), where he quickly earned a reputation for delivering unforgettable and inventive live events — the grand opening of Tyler Perry Studios, for just one example — and building a company where people love to work and where they are able to create in a thoughtful, visionary, and results-oriented way.
Today, Steve focuses on entrenching The XD Agency as the enduring leader in experience design, with best-in-class strategy, creative, and production services combining to create transformative business value for clients. To that end, he invests his time in developing and mentoring the next generatin of experience design leaders and advancing the industry at large through his progressive thinking, analysis of the market, and spirit of innovation. (He also occasionally returns to his first love: client projects.)
Steve earned his BS in engineering at Cornell University and served in senior leadership roles at Caribiner International and Jack Morton Worldwide before founding The XD Agency.
