Stephen Ambrose is the former general counsel at Softcard. Stephen Ambrose brings to Softcard more than 30 years of legal experience in the corporate, banking and consumer finance industries. As General Counsel and Secretary, Ambrose oversees the legal, compliance, and government relations functions for Softcard.
Before joining Softcard, Ambrose
served as managing partner of BuckleySandler LLP's office in New York, where his practice focused on transactional and regulatory matters. Prior to this, Ambrose served in various General Counsel roles at General Electric for more than 20 years, including most recently for GE Money, Americas, where he led the legal, compliance and governmental relations functions serving GE Capital's banking and consumer finance units in the U.S., Canada and Latin America. Before joining GE, Ambrose was a corporate lawyer in New York at Morgan, Lewis and Bockius LLP and at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP.
