Before launching Topicle, Steffen was a Product Manager at Google in Mountain View, CA. At Google, Steffen launched and worked on various products and features, including Google Maps, Google Web Search and Froogle, as well as Google's main internationalization (I18n) and localization (L10n) infrastructure. Steffen later went to Google's
European development center in Zurich, Switzerland. Steffen was Google's first Product Manager with European background.
Steffen studied Computer Science in Furtwangen, Germany, and has an MBA in Management of Technology from Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, Canada. Steffen started his first software company at age 14 and managed 40 employees at 23. He moved 22 times in his life and has lived in Germany, Ecuador, Canada, Hong Kong, the US and Switzerland.
