Dr. Simon Kwong is the VP of PD and CMO of JHL XiKang (Wuhan) Site in China. Prior to joining JHL, Simon was the general manager of a SZ-based biotech company. Simon was the Associate Director of the Hong Kong Institute of Biotechnology (HKIB) and was one of the founders and VP of Operations at SinoMab Bioscience Ltd.
Simon has been involved in
various early stage recombinant biologics development and clinical manufacturing including malaria vaccines, anti-Schistosome vaccine, and various therapeutic antibodies, etc. Simon has built a track record of developing over 10 therapeutic antibodies with most of them in IND and clinical stages in China and US. He has 20 years of cell-culture (SP2/0 and CHO) experience, over 13 years of Mab process development (novel and biosimlar), clinical manufacturing, and IND filing experience (US and China).
Simon obtained his BSc in Chemical Engineering from the National Taiwan University in 1988 and his Ph.D. from University of Maryland in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering in 1993.
