Sikander has been pushing service & product delivery in financial technology since 2004, before founding a growing technology startup in Cambridge, UK. He is an experienced executive with specialist insights to financial services, European and Chinese business practises, market places, mobile consumer trends, market entry and business growth.
He founded his first startup at the age of 18 while in college, building a profitable 23-people organisation to support younger students with affordable tutoring. The programme continued for several years after he exited until it was replaced by a similar government initiative.
Moving to the UK in 2004, Sikander has learned much about operational excellence, leadership and product development during his 11 years’ tenure at Worldpay. He then joined Alipay’s founding team for Europe in 2015 where he successfully led growth into new markets across the EMEA region. Sikander is now focused on laying the foundations at Droplet, where he leads the business and its team as CEO and Founder.
Originally from Germany, he lives in the UK and is a passionate advocate of Charity:Water, CleanTech360 and the SiliconFen startup community in Cambridge, UK.
