Sid’s career as a software industry professional spans over 15+ years building and growing early stage tech startups with multiple exits. Before Trial and Error, he served as the VP of Engineering for JOKR, a hyperlocal
and ultrafast grocery delivery platform operational in 6 countries. JOKR grew to the unicorn status in just 8 months serving over 2 million customers.
At Compass, a modern real estate brokerage, Sid helped accelerate its rocket ship growth from 200 to 2000 person company in 2 years leading to a successful IPO in 2021. Prior to that, Sid built AI products funded by DARPA and validated by NIH at Cogito, an MIT media lab spinoff, where he was a principal engineer for 5 years. Sid’s first job out of graduate school was at Vivox, a gaming startup building middleware SDKs for console and PC games. Vivox was acquired by game engine giant Unity Technologies.
Sid’s personal philosophy and leadership style is to lead by example, approaching problems from first principles, and working with the garage door open.
