Shixin Chen is the Executive Director for China at the World Bank Group. He is a member of the Audit Committee and the Committee on Governance and Administrative Matters (COGAM) under the Boards of Executive Directors.
Previously, Mr. Chen served in a number of senior positions at the Ministry of Finance of China. From 2007 to 2013, he served
as the Deputy Director General of International Department. From 2005 to 2007, he was the Deputy Director General of Tax Policy Department. Prior to that, Mr. Chen served as the Division Director and Deputy Division Director at Budget Department.
Mr. Chen holds a Ph.D. in Public Finance. He also earned a MPA from Harvard University.
