Previously he architected and managed large scale solutions for many Fortune 500 companies and venture backed startups, including Visa, eBay, PayPal and AltaVista. In 2004, Sheffield launched the search engine Clush.
Sheffield developed a machine learning categorization system for Clush, using probabilistic models for clustering and content classification.
