Scott Simmons was named Executive Director of Golf Canada in July 2007. His prior involvements with Golf Canada include a post-University position with the International Management Group (IMG) where he consulted for the Association. From 1992 to 2000 he served as Golf Canada’s Director, Marketing and Communications.
From 2000 to 2007, he had a
successful seven-year executive management career in the Canadian beer brewing industry before returning to Golf Canada. He also serves as member of the National Allied Golf Association and a delegate with the International Golf Federation.
A graduate of the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario, Scott lives in Mississauga with his wife Danita and their four daughters.
