Scott Hooks is the Co-Founder and CEO of Yubixi, a social technology startup focused on connecting people with other people and things that are relevant. He came upon the idea while building his previous company: a social, mobile, and collaboration technology consulting firm, Best Methods (http://www.bestmethods.com), which he still leads
in addition to Yubixi. Scott sets the vision and runs business development for both organizations while recruiting strong technologists to run development.
Scott loves to analyze and solve problems with technology. He has been doing so since an early job as a collections manager for JC Penney in 1993 where he first developed intelligent programs to automate tasks that dozens of employees had been performing manually for years. Following that, he worked for several other companies building innovative custom business applications, eventually joining a startup consulting firm that he was instrumental in growing tenfold before it was sold to a global software company, where he served as GM of Services and ultimately COO until leaving in July 2012 to start Best Methods.
Scott has a passion for helping others pursue their dreams and is an active contributor to multiple community development programs related to entrepreneurship and small business development. Similarly, he hopes Yubixi will contribute to local communities in altruistic ways.
