As Chief Technology Officer at Envestnet, Mr. Grinis is responsible for the overall development and technological infrastructure of the Envestnet platform.
Grinis has more than 20 years of experience in technology, developing special expertise in building mission-critical enterprise systems. Prior to joining Envestnet, Grinis founded Aion, a
company that developed expert systems and whose advanced inference engine and object technology were used by financial services and insurance firms to develop risk-scoring and underwriting applications. Aion was acquired by Platinum Technology in 1999. At Platinum, he acted as Chief Architect and Head of Engineering, managing a staff of more than 20 software development engineers. In 2000, he helped form Oberon Financial Technology and created Oberon’s integrated model-based trade order management, performance reporting, and portfolio accounting system.
Grinis holds a B.S. and an M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.
