As AMMA’s Executive Director, Industry, Scott Barklamb has responsibility for policy and advocacy, member services and business development, media, public affairs and government relations.
This executive role also requires people leadership and management responsibilities for a dedicated group of more than 20 AMMA professional and administrative
Industry Services personnel.
Scott came to AMMA from the International Organisation of Employers (IOE) in Geneva; the peak global body representing employers’ organisations in more than 140 countries.
In addition to his global employment and workplace policy role, Scott has focused on developing employer representation in Asia, and maintains active contacts throughout the region.
Prior to 2009, Scott was Director, Workplace Policy with the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), representing Australian employers on workplace relations policy, employment regulation, and minimum wages.
Scott holds a Master of Arts (Hons) – Industrial Relations and Management, Bachelor of Arts (Hons) majoring in Political Science and Public Administration, and a Graduate Diploma of Labour Relations Law.
