Dr. Rui Wang is an associate professor of marketing at Peking University, China. She conducts ground-breaking research that is providing insights into the dynamic and ever-evolving Chinese consumer. Dr. WANG’s research interests include internet marketing, e-commerce and new retailing, and her work has been published in leading academic journals,
including the Strategic Management Journal and Journal of Marketing Research. Dr. WANG’s research examines internet marketing development and explores how and why certain internet-based businesses proliferate for entrepreneurship in China. She has written several business cases of this regard including one award-winning case on OFO bike-sharing and now collaborates with Aliresearch Institute to investigate new retailing in China Dr. WANG earned her PhD in Marketing at the Smeal School of Business, Pennsylvania State University in the United States and now serves as the associate editor of Journal of Business to Business Marketing and area editor of Journal of Marketing Science in China. She is also an expert team member of Liaowang Institute Think Tank and a research fellow in Mulan research institute of woman entrepreneurship.
