Ronald Black is the President, Chief Executive Officer and a Member of the Board of Directors at Rambus since June 2012. Ronald has fostered a more open and collaborative environment at Rambus. With over 20 years of experience managing businesses and running companies in global semiconductor and mobile markets, Ronald brings an entrepreneurial
spirit to Rambus and provides the overall vision and leadership necessary to drive future growth.
Before joining Rambus, Ronald was the Chief Executive Officer for MobiWire (formerly Sagem Wireless, UPEK, which later merged with AuthenTec) and Wavecom, a publicly traded French wireless solutions company.
Ronald has also served as Executive Vice President of the Client Systems Group at Agere Systems and has held a number of senior executive roles at other companies, including Motorola and IBM Microelectronics.
Ronald holds a Bachelor’s degree, a Master’s and a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Cornell University.
