Before he became the founder and Senior Pastor of Calvary Houston Church, Pastor Ron Hindt was a rock musician in the LA/Hollywood area. He started his pastoral ministry in 1980 when he joined Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa under Pastor Chuck Smith. For several years, he served as an assistant pastor at Calvary Chapel Pacific Hills, California.
In
1991, he moved to Houston to establish a church. From a small group, Calvary Houston grew to have thousands of members that attend weekly services. Its ministry expanded too, and now includes daily radio broadcasts of Pastor Ron’s unique, expositional style of teaching. These half-hour broadcasts, known as “Larger Than Life,” are aired daily throughout the United States.
